Writing this down now so I can claim the ultimate prize of being the new spokesman for the internet...

Google's future vision is going to be based around using their VPN software to connect to a virtual Sun machine (hence the link with Sun) and allow the user to save/edit/browse/whatever (using StarOffice) from anywhere (hence the WiFi stuff in San Francisco and buying up all the fiber).
