Folly's End - Good Samaritans   Monday, September 17, 2007, 6:57 pm

Over the weekend, we camped at Folly's End Campground, near Girard. Wanting to make pancakes the next day but having forgot butter, I went up to the camp store to get some. The fellow running the campground didn't have any, but he called his daughter in his house, and she ran down with about 8 restaurant sized packets. I offered to pay her, then to pay him, and both refused.

Good Samaritans are few and far between, but when they do something special, it is recognized and remembered. So many people are out purely to make money that, when something is given to you, it is the exception.
