2010 specific information:

Bike to Work Day in Boulder Colorado is filled with fabulous events celebrating the bicycle. A full list of Bike to Work Day Activities is below.

From 6:30 – 9 a.m., more than 45 breakfast stations throughout town will be serving up free breakfast to those on bike and foot. Be sure to register (hot link) and make your commute count.

You say you work at home and can’t bike to work? No matter, just trade in a car trip for a bike trip and register anyway. It counts. The more cyclists Boulder can count on Bike to Work Day, the more support we get locally and regionally for bicycle projects.

Walk & Bike Month & Bike to Work Day is not just about biking to work, because some people just can’t do that. It is about choosing the best way to get around each time you leave the house. If you have to go to Erie, maybe you can only drive. But if you live a half a mile from the gym, try biking there next time.

Given the all the personal, environmental and global impacts of private automobile use, it is now more important than ever that Boulder maintain and build on its strong commitment to walking and biking. It starts with every person committing to walk or bike at least one day in June and letting our city government know that being able to walk and bike safely and easily in Boulder is one of the things that makes our town great.

June 23- Bike to Work Day Events:

Additional Info:

Bike to Work Day organizers expect record turnout of 7,500 tomorrow (June 25)

Walk & Bike Month organizers expect a record high number of cyclists Wednesday for Bike to Work Day in Boulder. These estimates include an already record number of registrants signed up through today, 5,500. DRCOG has stated that in previous years, twice the amount of people participate in Bike to Work Day than actually register. This means more than 10,000 people could be riding the streets of Boulder tomorrow. In addition, organizers think a blue bird forecast the lure of 32 breakfast stations that will feed cyclists who commute by bike tomorrow. A complete list of breakfast station locations can be found at www.communitycycles.org.

Wednesday, June 25, 6:30 to 9 a.m.; additional events will continue throughout the day. Check out www.communitycycles.org for further information.
